The story of Edie's day - sunrise to sunset
It was time to get up and out for Edie's first trip to Chester Zoo. Edie is seven and a half months old and so far had a thing for most feathered creatures - particularly ducks - and also cuddly toy giraffes...it was a day to find out what else in the animal kingdom could spark her imagination! We faced howling gales, a little rain and some reasonable sized crowds (though Chester Zoo had prepared for the social distancing element really well considering a large proportion of their visitors are under ten years old), and Edie tried her first Mini Milk ice-cream. Yes she slept through some of it, but in the end the big favourite turned out to be the zebras - a tiny cuddly version of which she was gifted before bed as a memento of her day...
