Hi! i'm sarah...
...the photographer behind the Blue Hare - based in Warwickshire, in the heart of the UK.
I get real joy from meeting genuine people, celebrating their happiest times and exploring new ideas. I shoot in a relaxed documentary style, capturing moments as they happen, with the least formality or set-up possible. I make the most of the light and environment that surrounds me and make sure to keep out of the way and let the action unfold.
Whether you're a total natural in front of the camera, or can think of nothing worse, I ultimately want to work with you to give you a beautiful and lasting record of the best moments of your life. (I know! What an amazing job huh?!)
I hope you enjoy taking a glance through my work, and if you think I might be the photographer for you, get in touch and let's chat!
rachael, aka the rocket.
Rachael is my wife, and the brains behind Blue Hare. She ensures the smooth running of bookings, wedding shows, album and print orders; and she is my biggest supporter!
Pictured here with our daughter Edie, you can see how love and laughter is so important to us - something I hope you can see reflected in my work.

What is your photography style?
A. I consider myself to be a story-seeking photographer. I have a documentary style of shooting which allows me to move with your day, capturing the big and the in-between moments as they happen. I appreciate the tradition and desire for group shots with friends and family, and aim to make these fun and relaxed, so as not to break the flow of the day. And if you are the sort of couple that prefer not to spend a long time posing in front of the camera, then we can keep those shots brief and relaxed too. My aim is to be like one of the guests, mingling, there to witness and record, and then ultimately share with you every wonderful moment of your day, to keep and treasure forever.
What are your wedding packages?
A. I offer two main packages to keep things simple, and make sure I am always in a position to capture the best moments of your day:
Usually 3-5 hours photography for those looking for ceremony-only, or a smaller intimate wedding.
Usually 6-9 hours photography for couples wanting to capture every detail of their day - from bride/groom prep to the first dance and beyond.
Let's have a chat about what you're looking for for your big day, and we'll find a package to fit!
How do I receive my wedding photos?
A. Your fully edited photographs will be sent to you on a USB stick to keep safe as a back up. They will also be made available online in a secure digital gallery - this is ideal for sharing your pictures with family and friends, and also for selecting your favourites for your album should you want one.
What wedding album and print options do you offer?
A. I am fortunate to work with a stunning album and print producer, who hand craft beautiful print products right here in the UK.
It is important to me to work with a manufacturer who has the same values, standards of quality and also timeless techniques to ensure your photos can truly be treasured forever. I would always encourage you to print your pictures whether that be as individual prints, or in an album, as this is quite simply the best way to enjoy them well into the future.
The options available at Folio Albums are simply stunning and there is something to suit everyone’s tastes - so if this is something you know you want for your pictures, whether at the time of booking, or after the event, we can work together and create you something to treasure forever.
Do you offer albums & prints for other shoots - not just weddings?
A. Absolutely I do! There are options for more traditional albums and prints, but also more fun print and photobook options - just let me know what you are looking for, and it can be done!
How far will you travel?
A. At the moment I cover the UK only, however don’t let that stop you asking the question...you never know!
Do you offer pre-wedding shoots?
A. I certainly do! They can be extremely useful for practicing in front of the camera if this is not your natural habitat, and also for us to get to know each other before your big day - not to mention then having some beautiful bonus shots of the two of you before you are officially married!
Pre-wedding shoots usually last around an hour and can be in a location of your choice - somewhere that means something to the two of you is perfect though not mandatory - and if you have children or dogs and would like them involved, that is entirely welcome! Get in touch to discuss what you'd like for your pre-wedding shoot.
