ALL FOR A GREAT CAUSE

When Myton Hospice in Warwick contacted me to ask if I had any time I could spare to take photos of their Cycle Challenge I said yes immediately! It's not often you get to do something you love while giving back or doing good for others, and this year was extra special as it celebrated 40 years since Warwick Myton Hospice opened.

I was undeterred by the 6:45am start, instead embracing the bright light of a summer's morning, spending two hours meeting some truly amazing people. Volunteers, riders and their supporters, ambulance drivers, other fellow photographers...the morning was packed with feel-good vibes, a pinch of nerves and smiles from all involved. There were father-daughter pairings, mums in support of sons, partners, solo riders and established cycling clubs all cycling distances of 50km, 100km and 100miles to raise money for this incredible local charity. There were carbon fibre state-of-the-art road cycle machines, rolling alongside vintage racers, hybrid mtb's and more. It was a hell of a sight in the long shadows of the morning. Fingers crossed they ask me back next year! It would be an absolute pleasure!
