Amalfi White is one of those rare venues that blends elegance and fun — a stylish townhouse that’s part bar, part restaurant, and part wedding venue, perfect for couples who want a relaxed yet beautiful celebration.

And this wedding had it all: kilts, roses, clocks in tables, pizza ovens, pirate ship wars, treehouse hide-and-seek, and plenty of staircase climbing. It was a day full of laughter, light, and love — exactly the kind of day that reminds me why I adore capturing weddings like this.

From the moment I arrived at Amalfi White, it was clear that this wasn’t going to be a traditional, quiet affair. One of the things I love most about documentary wedding photography is capturing those unexpected, fleeting moments — the ones that show real emotion. And this day had so many of them. From proud Scottish kilts to the chaos of kids’ pirate ship battles and treehouse hide-and-seek, every corner was alive with energy. My favourite memory of all? The wild dancing from the kids on the dancefloor at the end of the night — I swear some of them got some serious height! Those photos are pure joy.
