When Helen and Adam asked if I was available for a late December wedding, my eyes lit up — how romantic, I thought! And I wasn’t disappointed. Their Warwick House wedding was a beautiful celebration of love, family, and festive warmth that perfectly captured the magic of winter in the UK.
A Cosy and Elegant Setting
Warwick House, one of Warwickshire’s most elegant wedding venues, looked breathtaking dressed for Christmas. The soft glow of fairy lights, twinkling trees, and the white winter sky outside made the perfect backdrop for a romantic day. Guests arrived wrapped in big coats, ready to tipple away the chill and embrace the celebration.
The wedding cake, a tower of delicate French Fancies expertly baked by Betty’s of York, looked as grand as it was delicious — a charming twist on tradition that perfectly matched the couple’s fun and creative spirit.
Thoughtful Touches and Family Memories
Every corner of Warwick House was filled with personal touches that reflected Helen and Adam’s story. Guests enjoyed classic games between courses, and photographs of family — both past and present — decorated the room with love and nostalgia.
One of my favourite details was the gift and card table, where guests placed their well-wishes into Helen’s grandad’s old suitcase from his childhood — such a touching and meaningful tribute to family history. It’s these sentimental details that make weddings feel so deeply personal and memorable to photograph.

There’s something special about a winter wedding in the UK — the contrast of crisp air outside and cosy warmth indoors creates such a romantic atmosphere. INTERVIEW WITH HELEN & ADAM
What concerns / worries did you have about choosing your wedding photographer?
I wouldn't say we had any specific concerns, but as its such a special day you hope every moment is captured, even those that you miss, so you can relive the day again years down the line.
How did I set those worries at ease?
From the small details, reactions of family & guests, to our first dance (& everything in between), Sarah captured them all! The whole day was beautifully documented.
What was the best thing about having me as your photographer?
Sarah put our minds (& our guests) at complete ease. We aren't the most relaxed when it comes to getting our photo taken but to have Sarah in front of us, making us laugh & feel immediately comfortable was everything we could have hoped for.
Would you recommend me to others, and why?
Without hesitation! Sarah's vision is perfect and her approach is effortless. 3 years on, we regularly look back at the photos and there's no one else we would trust or want to share our special day with. If we were to do it all over again, we wouldn't change a thing!
